Organic Flowers Hood River, Oregon

At Dancing Moon Farm flowers are a passion. We have four acres of quality, organically grown flowers for sale to florists, event planners, national wholesalers, and the general public. Our taste runs a little "wild." We have many non-traditional flowers and woodies as well as high-end fillers for bouquets. In accordance with our values, our flowers are grown using organic as well as biodynamic methods. USDA Organic sealASCFG logo

More and more Americans are interested in organic products, sustainable practices and local production. We are proud to be on the cutting edge of this trend as one of the few Oregon Tilth certified organic flower farms in the area. In addition, we apply many other sustainable practices including biodiesel in all of our vehicles, drip irrigation to conserve water and a preservation and restoration of wildlife habit around our property.

We care about the quality of our flowers: we produce healthy plants in healthy soil. We harvest flowers daily taking care to cut them at the appropriate stage. After harvest, we are committed to maintaining the cold chain. We have a cooler onsite, and a refrigerated Sprinter delivery van. Our flowers are properly conditioned and then held between 34-38 degrees from harvest through delivery.

Weddings The Natural Look: Farm-direct organic flowers for weddings and special occasions

Farm-direct
Call or email us with the date and location of your wedding and we can send you a list—with pictures—of what flowers we think will be available that week. As your wedding approaches, we encourage you to visit the farm, look over what's available and make your final decisions. You can pick up your freshly harvested, bunched flowers ready to go a couple of days before the wedding, or in the case of some local weddings, we can deliver. We do not have a U-pick option.

Design
We do not have a floral designer at our farm and do not provide those services. We do love to talk about our flowers and can give suggestions for possible arrangements. If you have a need for more sophisticated floral design, we can suggest an experienced florist in our area or Portland to work with. These florists are accustomed to working with our flowers.

Organic
At Dancing Moon Farm, we strive to be environmentally sensitive and sustainable which is why we grow using organic and biodynamic methods. We believe vibrant, high quality flowers are grown in healthy soil. Our flowers, like our vegetables, are seasonal, with every month bringing a new swath of color, shape and variety. Our flowers will provide your wedding with a natural look, complimenting the inherent beauty of the season and your surroundings.

Local
There are many beautiful settings for a wedding in the Columbia Gorge Area. We are located on the Westside of Hood River, fifteen minutes from downtown and can work with many area wedding sites. Our flowers work especially well with outdoor or relaxed-setting weddings; we do not grow a lot of traditionally formal flowers. Buying local flowers for your Gorge wedding gives your guests a flavor for our area and has a lesser environmental impact than shipping flowers from another state or country. We can serve Portland area weddings as well, we make regular flower deliveries to Portland.

Florists

We are pleased to have a booth at the Portland Wholesale Flower Market located at 3624 N. Leverman Street, Portland, Oregon 97217. Florists and other qualified buyers can purchase our freshly harvested organic flowers at wholesale prices. We regularly bring a fresh harvest of flowers on Wednesday morning at which time Nick is present at our booth. On days other than Wednesdays, you can find and purchase our products from the cooler. www.pdxflowermarket.com
